BIM COORDINATOR
GBPA Architects is looking for an architect or engineer to fill the role of BIM Coordinator.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing BIM models, ensuring that the various disciplines involved in the project work in synergy by using the same methodologies and tools.
They will also ensure that the models are accurate, consistent, and compliant with established standards, facilitating communication and collaboration between teams.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the development and management of BIM models throughout all project phases, from concept to construction.
- Ensure consistency across models from various disciplines (architectural, structural, MEP, etc.).
- Define and enforce BIM standards, procedures, and protocols, ensuring that the project team follows company or project guidelines.
- Manage information sharing and collaboration between teams using dedicated platforms such as BIM 360 and/or ACC.
- Perform coordination checks (Clash Detection) to identify and resolve conflicts between models from different disciplines.
- Manage the documentation and information generated by the BIM model, ensuring it is up-to-date and accessible to all team members.
- Provide technical support to team members on BIM-related issues, offering training and assistance with problem-solving.
- Collaborate with the BIM Manager to continuously improve BIM processes and implement new technologies and tools.
- Monitor the quality of the BIM model and ensure that client and stakeholder requirements are met.
Requirements
- Solid experience in using BIM software, particularly Autodesk Revit and Navisworks.
- Excellent knowledge of national and international BIM standards and regulations.
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and facilitate communication among different project stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of project management dynamics and digital resource management.
- Degree in Architecture or Engineering.
- Proven experience of at least 4 years in managing complex BIM projects.
- BIM certification in the role.
