Atlante Moretti
Atlante Moretti
On Monday, December 14, during the “Atlante Moretti” conference organized by the Order of Architects of Rome, Antonio Gioli and Silvia Turati presented the renovation project for the building in Piazzale Flaminio, Rome, the final work of Luigi Moretti.
During the presentation, previously unseen archival documentation was showcased, which informed the project’s guiding principles. This provided a comprehensive narrative of a design process characterized by the pursuit of balance between preservation and innovation.
The building’s renovation also served as an opportunity to address the reuse of post-war structures, navigating the intersection of modern housing needs and the enhancement of the original architecture.
Our thanks to Emma Tagliacollo, CTF OAR – History and Criticism, Osservatorio 900; Roberta Bocca, Vice President of the OAR, Coordinator of the CTF OAR; and Marco Maria Sambo, OAR Secretary, Editorial Director of AR Magazine, and Coordinator of Osservatorio 900, for the invitation.
