From September 26th to 29th, 2024, the III edition of the Pietrasanta Design Week-end will take place, organized by Studio Coronel, exploring the theme of distinctiveness. The event invites companies and designers to reflect on their cultural roots, contemporary trends, and their ability to meet clients’ needs.

We invite you to the stunning Cloister of Sant’Agostino, between the columns and gardens, where you can admire the installation by GBPA Architects for Medit, titled “Material Memory: A Dance Between Past and Present.” Created by Federica De Leva, partner at GBPA Architects, in collaboration with Mahafarid Kazemi, Visual Director of the studio, the work tells the story of the transformation of recycled fabric—once plastic floating in the ocean—bringing to life a narrative that intertwines past and present.

For years, GBPA Architects has been designing spaces that enhance quality of life, with particular attention to social and environmental impact. This installation is a clear example, blending elegance and sustainability to emphasize the significant impact of human actions on the planet.
